Do you know your website's bounce rate?
02 Jul 2011
According to Google Analytics Benchmarking Newsletter Volume 1, websites which opted into anonymous data sharing had a bounce rate of 47% between November 1, 2010 and February 1, 2011. This is an improvement of 1.2% when compared with the same period the year before.
If you weren't already aware, 'bounce rate' refers to the percentage of visitors who left your website immediately after landing on the home page, effectively 'bouncing' off your website.
It's obviously important to therefore reduce your bounce rate as much as possible to ensure that visitors are choosing to delve further into your website and not leaving within moments of arriving.
